My work has always been to help each and every one of us reclaim power over ourselves, get to know ourselves, and heal and regulate ourselves.
This workshop offers tools to deepen your self-knowledge and find the path to your own energy, and therefore to your own freedom.
You will learn:
- to use Do-In techniques,
- to feel KI (vital energy),
- to be more focused and centred in the present by experiencing a form of meditation,
- to understand nutrition according to Chinese energetics.
What is KI?
In Japanese, ki is our vital energy: the energy that makes our heart beat, our lungs breathe and our stomach digest, that makes our brain work, that gives us our emotions, and so on… Vital energy is the life within us.
We are life itself, so why can’t we access it? Why does it feel so distant when it is all there is?
How can we find our way back to it within ourselves?
What is DO-IN?
DO: means opening the pathways to encourage the flow of vital ki.
IN: means moving and stretching your joints for this purpose.
Do-In is a self-healing technique in the sense that it opens the pathways of energy along the meridians and stimulates the acupuncture points.
Do-In exercises help restore the circulation of vital ki in the body. They include breathing techniques that calm the mind, meridian stretches, and movements such as percussion, pressure or friction.
Do-In is a continuation of shiatsu work.
Do-In exercises are simple and easy to learn. We can easily build them into our daily lives.
They help us counterbalance our sedentary lifestyles.
These are the stretches I practise every day.
What is meditation?
Meditation is simply « being in the present moment », yet it is often associated with a form of spirituality that can lead us away from its true meaning. Here we will simply experience a form of meditation that is not linked to any spiritual movement: simply finding within ourselves the way to live in our body and live the present moment, something that seems so difficult, so far from us, and yet is within reach.
What is nutrition according to Chinese energetics?
Foods carry their own energy and belong to one of the Five Elements, just like our organs and the seasons. Nutrition according to Chinese energetics is simple and full of common sense: it looks at foods in terms of their energetic and thermal qualities, according to the element of the current season. In spring, this is the Wood element, which we will look at in particular.
We are connected to nature, which produces what we need; in this sense, this way of eating is the most ecological, both for the planet and for our body.
